Do Your Co-workers Effect Your Productivity?

At every job people work together as a team to achieve company goals, but sometimes dealing with your coworkers at the job can be very problematic. The can be chatty, unhelpful, unfriendly or just simply distracting, their actions can effect you job performance. See below to get to know how to deal with your co workers in such a way that they don’t bring any negative effect to your job.
Best practices in dealing with your co-workers

Stay on message
When a talkative or disruptive colleague attempts to distract you from what you do, politely remind him/her that you do not have time to talk. If chatter bug will not shut up, be firm and pass on that you have a busy schedule. Answer all questions with a closed "Yes" or "No"

STRIKE balance
We all have "favorite" co-workers, but try to balance your time and attention to all your colleagues. This will minimize any possible animosity of those who might feel excluded from the "club".
Remain Alert and focused
It is easy for many of us to multitask and talk to colleagues while we are processing the job. It's great to have pleasant work environment lightness. But make sure you stay focused on your core responsibilities.

Draw borders/Limitations
Working with people who are close us like friends etc is a good thing. But if you work with a close friend, it is beneficial for both of you to draw boundaries and respect them. Do all the personal conversations and discussions outside of work and make sure that your discussions and actions underscore that you both are objective, self-employed. If colleagues are really creating a lot of friction for you and other employees, make sure your supervisor or manager is aware of the issue. He or she may be able to make subtle changes to the duties or responsibilities to you or your colleagues. These changes can reduce distractions, while evading the need for confrontation or arguments.
